The Mini Simmons implements planing hull theory on a very small sized board. Mini Simms can be ridden up to a foot shorter than you shortboard and still allow you to easily catch and stay with waves. The wide tail and waist, and minimal tail rocker help maximize the planing ability of the board. For maneuverability, it has two fin boxes positioned very near to the tail. This provides the board with ample drive while diminishing overall fin area, making it easy to overpower the fins on turns, making tail throws/slides easier than you might think.
